How to choose repair shop software
We make Spekco, one of the products below, so this is not a ranking and we have not put ourselves first in one. It is the questions that decide which product fits a shop, and what four of them charge according to their own pricing pages.

Six questions that decide it
- What does it do by itself? Count the messages you send and the calls you take about one repair. Software should send every one of them automatically when the status changes, and should not charge for each message.
- Is the register part of it? Most shops run two systems, one for the register and one for tickets, and retype between them. If you sell at the counter, the repair should be paid at the same register, and parts should come off the same stock.
- How fast is a ticket to write? Look for templates that fill in the parts, the labor and the checklist for a repair you do every day.
- How many tickets do you write in your busiest month? Some plans cap them, some bill for each one over an allowance, and some are unlimited. Work out your busiest month, not your average one.
- How many people need a login, at how many locations? Entry plans range from one user to five, and some products charge for each store.
- Can you get your data out? Ask how you export customers and tickets before you put any in.
What Spekco is built around
Ours is built around the first two questions: ticket workflow automation and a fully integrated point of sale, in one system.
- Change a ticket's status and the customer is told automatically, from drop-off to ready for pickup. Every notification is on every plan, with no charge per message.
- The repair is paid at the register that sells your products. One sale, one receipt, one stock count.
- A repair template fills in the ticket: parts at your prices, labor and the checklist.

Who each one suits, on price alone
- RepairDesk suits one busy store with up to five people: $99 per store a month with unlimited tickets.
- RepairShopr suits one busy location with up to ten people: $139.99 a month with unlimited tickets.
- Orderry suits a team of up to three at one location, and charges for each person and each location added after that.
- Spekco suits a shop writing up to a few hundred tickets a month, a shop with several locations, or one with a large team: $59.99 a month covers 25 staff accounts and up to 5 locations. A single location writing well over 600 tickets a month pays less on one of the others' unlimited plans; Spekco's own unlimited plan, Enterprise, is $179.99.
Free trials, where the length is stated
Swipe the table to see every column.
| Product | Free trial | Credit card |
|---|---|---|
| Spekco | 30 days | No credit card |
| RepairFlow | 14 days | No credit card |
| Orderry | 7 days | No credit card |
Only products whose own site states the length. Others offer a trial and do not say how long on their pricing page.
Try before you decide
Use the trial for real work. Check in ten real repairs, send a real estimate to a customer, take a real payment. A product that feels fine in a demonstration can be slow at the counter, and the counter is where you will use it.
Questions
- What does repair shop software cost?
- Entry plans on the four products here run from $29.99 to $99 per store a month, read from their pricing pages on September 28, 2026. The plan a shop actually needs depends on its staff, its locations and how many tickets it writes.

- Is there free repair shop software?
- There are free trials, a free WordPress plugin, and paper. Each has a cost of its own. Our guide to free repair shop software sets them out.
