Software for EV charger service

Ticket workflow automation and a fully integrated point of sale, in one system.

A charger that is out of service is losing its owner money by the hour, and they want to know when someone is coming. On Pro, Spekco books the visit and tells the site when the technician is on the way. The fault, the part and the invoice stay on one ticket.

Workflow automation

You do the repair. The ticket does the telling.

One visit, from the phone call to the payment. No message typed.

  • On a long repair, Spekco can send progress updates by itself, so the customer does not have to call and ask.
  • Finish a repair now and schedule the status change: the ticket moves, and the customer is told, at the time you choose.
  • Every notification is included on every plan. There is no charge per message.
  • On Pro, the follow-up runs too: a message after the repair, a reminder when service is due, and an invitation to customers who have not been back.
  1. 1. You book the visit from your Charger Diagnostic template

The ticket fills in with its parts, labor, checklist and trip fee. The customer is sent the time and asked to confirm it.

  2. 2. The day before, you do nothing

The customer is reminded of the visit.

  3. 3. The technician taps On my way

The customer is told who is coming and when.

  4. 4. You send the estimate

They approve it online, and the approval is recorded on the ticket.

  5. 5. You send the invoice

They pay online from the link in it, and are emailed a receipt.

Booking a visit uses dispatch, which is on Pro.

Integrated point of sale

One register for the repair and the sale

A charger repair and a replacement cable are one sale, on one receipt.

  • The repair is paid at the same register that sells your products. There is no second system, and nothing is typed twice.
  • A part fitted on a repair and a product sold at the counter come off the same stock count.
  • From the ticket, one button takes you to the register with the balance already in the sale.
  • When the work is done at the customer's address, the invoice goes to them with a link, and they pay online. Nobody drives back to collect.

Cables, connectors and holsters sell from the same register, and the same stock, as the ones you fit.

The register is on every plan. How the register works →

What to ask on the phone

Whatever you use to run your business, find these out before anyone sets off.

  • The site's address, and which charger it is
  • Make, model and serial number
  • The fault code on the screen
  • Whether it is out of service or only slow
  • The site contact, and the hours you may work
  • Which network it reports to

How a job runs in Spekco

Step 1

Book the visit, and say when

On Pro, book the job as a Dispatch visit. The site is asked to confirm, and told when the technician is on the way with an arrival time.

Step 2

One ticket for each charger

A site with six chargers is one customer and six tickets. Each charger has its own serial number, its own fault and its own history.

Step 3

Cables and connectors in stock

Parts used on a ticket come off your count. Set a minimum for the cables you cannot wait a week for, and you are warned in time.

Pickup, delivery and dispatch

For the work that does not walk in the door.

Pickup

You collect the item from the customer's address. Spekco checks the address against your service radius and adds the fee to the ticket, flat or per mile.

Delivery

The repaired item goes back to the customer's door in a delivery window you set. The customer can choose the time from a link.

Dispatch

A technician goes to the customer, for a trip fee you set. The customer is asked to confirm the visit, reminded the day before, and told when the technician is on the way, with an arrival time.

All three are on Pro, and each is a setting you turn on for the locations that offer it.

On every plan

  • Service tickets and workflow
  • Point of sale register
  • Customer portal with ticket tracking
  • Online estimate approval and invoice payment
  • Parts and inventory
  • Automated email notifications

The plan that usually fits

Pro, $59.99 a month

Work done on site needs dispatch, which is on Pro: $59.99 a month. Pro also keeps a record of each charger and sends maintenance reminders when service is due.

What it does not do

Spekco does not connect to a charging network. It cannot read a charger's status; it records what you were told and what you found.

Questions

Can I remind a site when maintenance is due?
On Pro, yes. Spekco keeps a record of each charger and sends maintenance reminders by email.
Can one customer have several chargers?
Yes. Each charger is its own ticket, and all of them are on the customer's record.
Can the site pay the invoice online?
Yes. The invoice is sent with a link to pay, on every plan.
