Software for jewelry repair
Ticket workflow automation and a fully integrated point of sale, in one system.
When a customer hands over a ring, the take-in record is what protects you both. Spekco records the piece with photos and the customer's signature, puts the estimate in front of them, and tells them when it is ready.

Workflow automation
You do the repair. The ticket does the telling.
One ring, from the counter to the register. Five things you did, and no message typed.
- On a long repair, Spekco can send progress updates by itself, so the customer does not have to call and ask.
- Finish a repair now and schedule the status change: the ticket moves, and the customer is told, at the time you choose.
- Every notification is included on every plan. There is no charge per message.
- On Pro, the follow-up runs too: a message after the repair, a reminder when service is due, and an invitation to customers who have not been back.
1. You pick your Ring Sizing template
The ticket fills in with its parts, labor and checklist. The customer is emailed that you have their ring, with a page where they can follow it.
2. You set the status to Waiting on Parts
They are told you are waiting on a matching stone.
3. You send the estimate
They approve it online, and the approval is recorded on the ticket.
4. You set the status to Ready for Pickup
They are told their ring is ready.
5. You take the payment at the register
They are emailed a receipt.
Integrated point of sale
One register for the repair and the sale
A ring sizing and a watch battery are one sale, on one receipt.
- The repair is paid at the same register that sells your products. There is no second system, and nothing is typed twice.
- A part fitted on a repair and a product sold at the counter come off the same stock count.
- From the ticket, one button takes you to the register with the balance already in the sale.
Watch batteries, chains, cleaning kits and pieces from the case sell from the same register as the repair.
The register is on every plan. How the register works →
The jobs you take in
- Ring sizing
- Prong retipping
- Stone setting and replacement
- Chain and clasp repair

- Pearl restringing
- Cleaning, polishing and plating
What to write down at the counter
Whatever you use to run your shop, record these before the customer leaves.
- The piece: metal, color and any stamps
- The stones: how many, what shape, any chips seen under a loupe
- Photos of the front and the back
- The value the customer states
- The finger size now, and the size wanted
- The date it is needed by, and why
How a job runs in Spekco
Step 1
A take-in record with photos and a signature
Describe the piece, attach photos and have the customer sign on screen. What was handed over, and in what condition, is settled at the counter.
Step 2
Approval before the bench
Send the estimate by email. The customer approves or declines it online and the answer is recorded, with the time, on the ticket.
Step 3
Ready before the anniversary
Give the ticket its promised date and sort your queue by it. When the status changes to ready, the customer is emailed.
Pickup, delivery and dispatch
For the work that does not walk in the door.
Pickup
You collect the item from the customer's address. Spekco checks the address against your service radius and adds the fee to the ticket, flat or per mile.
Delivery
The repaired item goes back to the customer's door in a delivery window you set. The customer can choose the time from a link.
Dispatch
A technician goes to the customer, for a trip fee you set. The customer is asked to confirm the visit, reminded the day before, and told when the technician is on the way, with an arrival time.
All three are on Pro, and each is a setting you turn on for the locations that offer it.
On every plan
- Service tickets and workflow
- Point of sale register
- Customer portal with ticket tracking
- Online estimate approval and invoice payment
- Parts and inventory
- Automated email notifications
The plan that usually fits
Basic, $29.99 a month
A bench jeweler with a counter fits Basic: two staff accounts and 25 tickets a month included, then $0.20 each. A store with more staff, or one that wants to text customers, wants Pro.
What it does not do
Spekco is a repair and retail system, not a jewelry inventory system. It does not price by metal weight, grade stones or print appraisals.
Questions
- Can I photograph a piece when I take it in?
- Yes. Photos are attached to the ticket at check-in and stay on it.
- Can the customer sign for what they left?
- Yes. The customer signs on screen at take-in, and the signature is kept with the ticket.
- Can I use it for custom orders?
- Yes. A custom piece is a ticket with an estimate, a deposit and updates as the work goes on.
