Locksmith & Security
Software for locksmiths
Ticket workflow automation and a fully integrated point of sale, in one system.
A locksmith works a counter and a van. Keys are cut while the customer waits, and a lockout is wherever the customer is standing. Spekco runs the register for one and, on Pro, books the visit for the other.

Workflow automation
You do the repair. The ticket does the telling.
One visit, from the phone call to the payment. No message typed.
- On a long repair, Spekco can send progress updates by itself, so the customer does not have to call and ask.
- Finish a repair now and schedule the status change: the ticket moves, and the customer is told, at the time you choose.
- Every notification is included on every plan. There is no charge per message.
- On Pro, the follow-up runs too: a message after the repair, a reminder when service is due, and an invitation to customers who have not been back.
1. You book the visit from your Rekey template
The ticket fills in with its parts, labor, checklist and trip fee. The customer is sent the time and asked to confirm it.
2. The day before, you do nothing
The customer is reminded of the visit.
3. The technician taps On my way
The customer is told who is coming and when.
4. You send the estimate
They approve it online, and the approval is recorded on the ticket.
5. You send the invoice
They pay online from the link in it, and are emailed a receipt.
Booking a visit uses dispatch, which is on Pro.
Integrated point of sale
One register for the repair and the sale
A rekeying job and three spare keys are one sale, on one receipt.
- The repair is paid at the same register that sells your products. There is no second system, and nothing is typed twice.
- A part fitted on a repair and a product sold at the counter come off the same stock count.
- From the ticket, one button takes you to the register with the balance already in the sale.
- When the work is done at the customer's address, the invoice goes to them with a link, and they pay online. Nobody drives back to collect.
Keys, padlocks, deadbolts and safes sell from the same register that takes payment for the service work.
The register is on every plan. How the register works →
The jobs you go out to
- Key cutting
- Rekeying
- Lock installation
- Lockouts
- Safe opening and servicing
- Car key programming
- Master key systems
- Electronic access control
What to ask on the phone
Whatever you use to run your business, find these out before anyone sets off.
- The address, and the number to call on arrival
- Who the caller is, and what shows they have the right to enter
- The kind of lock, and the brand if they know it
- How many locks, and how many keys
- For a car: the year, make and model
- Whether a key is broken off in the lock
How a job runs in Spekco
Step 1
A key cut at the counter is a sale
Ring it up at the register. It needs no ticket and uses none of your tickets for the month: sales and tickets are counted separately.
Step 2
A lockout is a visit
On Pro, choose Dispatch on a new ticket and enter where the customer is. The trip fee is added, and when the technician taps On my way the customer is told who is coming and when.
Step 3
Paid before you drive off
Send the invoice from the ticket. The customer pays online from the link while you are still there, and the receipt is emailed.
Pickup, delivery and dispatch
For the work that does not walk in the door.
Pickup
You collect the item from the customer's address. Spekco checks the address against your service radius and adds the fee to the ticket, flat or per mile.
Delivery
The repaired item goes back to the customer's door in a delivery window you set. The customer can choose the time from a link.
Dispatch
A technician goes to the customer, for a trip fee you set. The customer is asked to confirm the visit, reminded the day before, and told when the technician is on the way, with an arrival time.
All three are on Pro, and each is a setting you turn on for the locations that offer it.
On every plan
- Service tickets and workflow
- Point of sale register
- Customer portal with ticket tracking
- Online estimate approval and invoice payment
- Parts and inventory
- Automated email notifications
The plan that usually fits
Pro, $59.99 a month
The key counter alone fits Basic. Once you send a van, you need dispatch, which is on Pro: $59.99 a month, with 1,000 sales and 250 tickets a month included.
What it does not do
Spekco is not a key-control system. It has no record of key codes or bitting unless you add a field of your own, and it does not plan a route.
Questions
- Do keys cut at the counter use up my tickets?
- No. They are sales. Basic includes 100 sales a month and Pro includes 1,000, counted separately from tickets.
- Can I charge a call-out fee?
- On Pro, yes. Dispatch adds a trip fee to the ticket, flat or per mile.
- Can I record who authorized the work?
- Yes. Add a field for it, and have the customer sign on screen. Both stay on the ticket.
