Software for furniture repair and upholstery shops
Ticket workflow automation and a fully integrated point of sale, in one system.
A reupholstery job runs for weeks, starts with a deposit for fabric, and belongs to a customer who wants to see it coming along. Spekco keeps the estimate, the deposit and the photos on one ticket.

Workflow automation
You do the repair. The ticket does the telling.
One chair, from the counter to the register. Five things you did, and no message typed.
- On a long repair, Spekco can send progress updates by itself, so the customer does not have to call and ask.
- Finish a repair now and schedule the status change: the ticket moves, and the customer is told, at the time you choose.
- Every notification is included on every plan. There is no charge per message.
- On Pro, the follow-up runs too: a message after the repair, a reminder when service is due, and an invitation to customers who have not been back.
1. You pick your Reupholstery template
The ticket fills in with its parts, labor and checklist. The customer is emailed that you have their chair, with a page where they can follow it.
2. You set the status to Waiting on Parts
They are told you are waiting on the fabric.
3. You send the estimate
They approve it online, and the approval is recorded on the ticket.
4. You set the status to Ready for Pickup
They are told their chair is ready.
5. You take the payment at the register
They are emailed a receipt.
Integrated point of sale
One register for the repair and the sale
The deposit for the fabric and a tin of polish are one sale, on one receipt.
- The repair is paid at the same register that sells your products. There is no second system, and nothing is typed twice.
- A part fitted on a repair and a product sold at the counter come off the same stock count.
- From the ticket, one button takes you to the register with the balance already in the sale.
Polish, touch-up kits, cushions and hardware sell from the same register as the job.
The register is on every plan. How the register works →
The jobs you take in
- Reupholstery
- Refinishing
- Regluing and joint repair
- Spring and webbing repair
- Leather repair
- Antique restoration
- Cushion replacement

What to write down at the counter
Whatever you use to run your shop, record these before the customer leaves.
- What the piece is, and its measurements
- Photos of every side
- The fabric chosen, and who is supplying it
- Damage already on it
- A sample of the finish or color to match
- The deposit taken, and the date promised
How a job runs in Spekco
Step 1
An estimate the customer can keep
Send fabric, materials and labor as an estimate by email. The customer approves online, and the approved figure stays on the ticket.
Step 2
Take the deposit before you order fabric
A deposit is taken against the ticket at the register. The balance is worked out for you when the piece is collected.
Step 3
Show the work as it goes
Post an update with a photo when the frame is stripped and again when the fabric is on. The customer sees both in their portal.
Pickup, delivery and dispatch
For the work that does not walk in the door.
Pickup
You collect the item from the customer's address. Spekco checks the address against your service radius and adds the fee to the ticket, flat or per mile.
Delivery
The repaired item goes back to the customer's door in a delivery window you set. The customer can choose the time from a link.
Dispatch
A technician goes to the customer, for a trip fee you set. The customer is asked to confirm the visit, reminded the day before, and told when the technician is on the way, with an arrival time.
All three are on Pro, and each is a setting you turn on for the locations that offer it.
On every plan
- Service tickets and workflow
- Point of sale register
- Customer portal with ticket tracking
- Online estimate approval and invoice payment
- Parts and inventory
- Automated email notifications
The plan that usually fits
Basic, $29.99 a month
A workshop with one or two people fits Basic: 25 tickets a month included, then $0.20 each. Pro adds a pickup service, for shops that collect furniture from customers.
What it does not do
Spekco does not work out fabric yardage. You enter the yardage and the price.
Questions
- Can I take a deposit and the balance separately?
- Yes. The deposit is recorded against the ticket, and the balance is due at pickup.
- Can I collect furniture from the customer?
- On Pro, yes. The pickup service lets a customer book a collection within the distance you set.
- Can the customer see photos of the work?
- Yes. An update you post to the customer, with its photos, appears on the ticket in their portal.
